SOMMERFIELD, John. North West Five

£125.00

SOMMERFIELD, John. North West Five. London: Heinemann. 1960. First edition. Sommerfield’s final novel about a young couple struggling to make ends meet in postwar London. The excellent wrapper design is by Stephen Russ. A very good book, the gilt to spine a trifle dulled, the binding tight and gently rolled. Textblock spotted with some occasional foxing to prelims. The dust jacket unclipped, some small chips and nicks to the corners and spine tips, and a little rubbed elsewhere. Uncommon.
