SASSOON, Siegfried. The Sherston Trilogy. Signed limited editions

£1,000.00

SASSOON, Siegfried. Sherston trilogy. London: Faber & Gwyer/Faber & Faber. 1928-1936. First editions. Sassoon’s critically acclaimed ‘fictionalised autobiographical’ trilogy. The first volume won the Hawthornden and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize. The set here all signed limited editions (of 260, 750, and 300 copies respectively) and printed on handmade paper. The first volume from the library of Jean Hersholt, the Danish-American radio and silent film star, with his bookplate and signature to the front pastedown. Some mottling to the boards and the spines gently sunned as is often the case, but internally about fine throughout. An excellent set. More photos available on request.
