OPPENHEIM, E. Phillips. Mr. Mirakel

£40.00

Mr. Mirakel, E. Phillips Oppenheim. 1943. London: Hodder & Stoughton. 8vo. First British edition, first printing. Pale blue cloth with dark blue lettering to spine, in an excellent original dust jacket designed by Bip Pares. A somewhat disreputable copy, the cloth discoloured perhaps from frost damage, though the boards firm, the binding tight with a gentle lean. A few marks to the textblock edges as well as to the contents at prelims, but then usually fine throughout. Dust jacket with some tape repairs to verso, corners rubbed with a few nicks, chips and creases, but a presentable copy in Mylar. Uncommon.
