MCCARTHY, Cormac. The Border Trilogy

£200.00

MCCARTHY, Cormac. The Border Trilogy, comprising All the Pretty Horses, The Crossing, and Cities of the Plain. London: Picador. 1992-1998. 8vos. First British editions, first printings. Publisher’s white (first volume) and black (second and third volumes) cloth lettered in gilt to the spines, in the aligned dust jackets. The set near fine, the first volume with a slight spine roll, the second volume with some light foxing to top edge, else clean, bright, and very sharp without stamps or inscriptions, each dust jacket unclipped and fine with very marginal crimping at extremities.

A bright set of McCarthy’s coming of age trilogy which, though often considered some of his weakest work by cultish Cormacites, garnished him with a much wider audience base, many of which in turn delved deeper, back into to his earlier, masterful novels.
