Publisher’s blue cloth lettered in gilt to the spine and front board, in the striking dust jacket with a full wraparound design by E J Perman. A good copy though somewhat disreputable. The cloth fairly clean, rubbed at all corners with one slit to joint, backstrip toned, tips heavily rubbed. The binding tight though rear hinge cracked. Bookplate to front pastedown, and consistent toning throughout with one ink ownership inscription to front endpaper. The dust jacket presumably supplied, with several vertical creases. Gently rubbed to extremities, tape repairs to verso, a little browning and mild rubbing, but still a handsome copy.
