A very good book, the cloth clean and bright, the binding tight and square, just a shade faded at extremities. The contents clean, with mild spots to the endpapers and prelims, with ink ownership signature of Scottish author Bruce Marshall here. The dust jacket unclipped (9/6), quite heavily rubbed in places, particularly spine joint, with some minor closed tears and tiny nicks.
The author’s first published book gathering his first two slim novels, the former an economic Hubin-listed crime tale in the style of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, the latter a ‘sad and grim sub-ironic’ tale. The author found success in his short stories on both sides of the Atlantic and published several topographical works on his native Wales. Uncommon.
