The cloth clean and bright, the binding tight and square. The textblock edges gently spotted, with a few mild spots to endpapers and occasionally within. The dust jacket unclipped, with several stains to extremities, small nick to the spine foot, but a pleasing copy nonetheless.
The author’s third novel which draws upon his time spent in Allied-occupied Rome. This novel, which the publisher calls ‘a poet’s novel’, follows a young American officer and his romance with a local girl. Uncommon.
