Attractive orange cloth boards decorated in black and white, in plain wrappers with titles to spine, housed in the publisher’s slipcase. Very good. The cloth boards very clean and bright having been well-protected by the jackets, backstrip to second volume a touch sagged, minor. Publisher’s purple topstains very bright. The contents clean and fine throughout, both volumes with ink ownership inscription of Bruce Marshall, the Scottish author, SOE officer and Roman Catholic convert, to front endpapers. The dust jackets unclipped and complete, though with several small chips, nicks, rubbing and closed tears to extremities. The slipcase slightly toned in places with rubbing to corners, but structurally sound.
