SAYERS, Dorothy L., Busman's Honeymoon

£125.00

Busman’s Honeymoon, Dorothy L. Sayers. 1937. London: Gollancz. 8vo. Publisher’s black cloth with gilt lettering to spine. First edition, first printing. The scarce first issue with all the points; "!" for "." on page 378; "errific" instead of "terrific" to page 227; and with the erratum slip on page 335. A good copy without the scarce dust jacket. Cloth a little marked and rubbed at corners and at spine panel, especially at the tips. Binding sound but with a noticeable lean. A few spots to the textblock occasionally seeping, especially to the prelims, but the text largely clean and bright. Scarce in this first issue.
