ANONYMOUS, Mr. Ghim’s Dream

£125.00

ANONYMOUS, Mr. Ghim’s Dream. New York: G. W. Carleton. 1878. 8vo. First edition. Publisher’s blue and black cloth with diagonal black ruling, silver gilt lettering to upper board and gilt to spine. The first and only example of this scarce and early socialist utopian novel. An excellent example overall, some light mottling to front board, corners and spine tips a trifle rubbed and nicked, but the binding tight and square. Textblock edges with a few light spots and marks, but internally mostly fine throughout with some light toning in places. Very scarce; OCLC locates zero copies.
