ABBEY, Edward. The Monkey Wrench Gang

£225.00
sold out

ABBEY, Edward. The Monkey Wrench Gang. Edinburgh: Canongate. 1978. 8vo. First British edition. Publisher's black cloth lettered in gilt to the spine, in the excellent dust jacket designed by James Simpson. Barring a faint vertical crease along the spine and very lightly dust-marked top edge, a splendid, fine copy. The jacket with the merest hint of fading to spine, but quite negligible in truth and an altogether fine example.

Edward Abbey's most famous work, a bible as far as eco-critical novels go which led Abbey to become an underground cult hero. The British edition is considerably scarcer than the Lippincott first edition published three years prior. Scarce thus.
